HMI: New Jersey serves as the first direct service site outside of the HMI headquarters in New York City. HMI: New Jersey is a comprehensive LGBTQ youth out-of-school time program in New Jersey dedicated to providing youth who are at-risk of harassment, abuse, neglect, homelessness and disconnection with a safe, supportive environment in which to grow and thrive.

HMI: New Jersey youth members, range in age from 13 to 21 and represent the diversity of New Jersey. They are amazingly creative and create the beautiful community

HMI: NJ fosters. All of our services are free and are open to all LGBTQ youth, their allies and families. At HMI: NJ youth will participate in groups, individual counseling, trips and have access to many other community services. HMI: New Jersey serves youth from Essex, Hudson, Union and Middlesex counties and is the only LGBT organization contracted with the New Jersey Department of Child Protection and Permanency Department.
